Under the Christmas tree, we have found a chapter of the book “Perspectives on Risk, Assessment & Management Paradigms”, edited by Prof. Ali Hessami, and printed by IntechOpen.
The chapter, titled “The Internet of Things for Natural Risk Management (Inte.Ri.M.)” has been written by Riccardo Beltramo, Paolo Cantore, Enrica Vesce, Sergio Margarita and Paola De Bernardi.
It contains a “light” presentation of the research project that involves Margherita Maggioni and Michele Freppaz of Natrisk, Interdipartimental Center on Natural risks in mountain and hill areas. Scatol8 will contribute to the project, through the installation of a specific wireless sensor network.
The innovative management system, which will be the ultimate outcome of the project, will merge economic and environmental evaluation of the phases of prevention, management and restoring of susceptible to catastrophic events due to landslides and avalanches.
Interim has brightly overcome the blind evaluation in Bruxelles of the University of Torino projects, funded by Compagnia di San Paolo.
Now, at the take off, Interim is proud to be a Sugar-free, Fat-free, Nicotine-free and Compagnia-di-San-Paolo free research project.
