Mr Mauro Duglio is starring in the Scatol8®’s movie!
Don’t be surprised by his last name. He is Mr Stefano Duglio’s father, for sure, and we involved him in our project, adopting a new strategy, called “reversed nepotism”. His son, one of the member of Scatol8®’s family, has recommended him, for his skills in design and making. And, seriously, we welcomed him and his unique experience, so exquisitely offered to Scatol8®’s project.
If he was in news groups, on the Internet, he would be labeled as God Member. But he doesn’t, so it’s up to us to introduce him as a unique expert in furniture designing, with a working life knowledge in materials, tools, assembling and decorating. Recently retired, he is dedicating his free time to his passions: fishing (and teaching kids to fish); curing his huge, old motorbikes collection; the art of making, and, last but not least, behaving as a beloved grandfather.
We broke into his agenda, asking him to build a wooden owl for Scatol8®, using a kit purchased on the net. This idea, in coherence with the principle of ecocompatibility of Scatol8®’s packaging, is oriented to extend the range of friendly objects, to be used indoor, especially in rustic home, and outdoor, for garden monitoring.
The kit that we bought was aimed to build a money box, with the shape of a owl. Mr Duglio Sr. built it perfectly, taking the time that a masterpiece asks for, with an high degree of attention to details and finish. At a point that none of us dared to manipulate it in order to fix Scatol8®’s hardware into it. Now, this owl stands as an inspiration to further wooden animals, able to contain Scatol8® ’s hardware.
In fact, the dimensions of the original kit don’t allow to host Scatol8®’s hardware, thus adaptations are needed. In the next news, you’ll discover them. We announce that details won’t be as perfect, but the art of making is made of trial and errors. And whenever Mr. Mauro Duglio wants to be with Scatol8®’s Team, the door is open for him.
